My Review Criteria

Welcome to my reviewing criteria page. Whenever I have read a book I will most use the following statements to decide on what rating a book will receive.

DISCLAIMER: We all have different opinions so please don’t argue with my ratings, if you disagree please feel free to leave a polite comment stating your thoughts. I am completely honest when rating a novel. 🙂

5 STARS: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This book was amazing! I’m obsessed and will definitely be reading this book a few more times. I love the characters and can really connect with them. Incredible storyline that kept me enthralled from the start.

4 STARS: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This book was good. The characters were great and it had a really interesting storyline. I’m not obsessed and may read this book again (1 or 2 times), but I’m not completely overwhelmed.

3 STARS: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This book was okay. I didn’t really feel like I knew the characters too well and the storyline could have been more exciting.

2 STARS: ⭐️ ⭐️

This book was a struggle to read, but I finished it. The characters weren’t described well enough to connect with them in anyway and at times the pace of the book was slow and uninteresting. A book with 2 stars needs some improvement to make it better.

1 STAR: ⭐️

I think giving a book a one star would be one of the worst things. However if a novel does receive a 1 star rating, it’s because I didn’t finish it. Not because I didn’t have time, but because it was a chore to read. There was no enjoyment and the storyline was kind of dead.
